CDI Group plc have been selected by the Trust for a 3 year term Cabling Contract to maintain the Trusts structured cabling network and the installation of additional Copper and Fibre cabling and associated small power across the Trust Sites.

The Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust is an Acute Trust, which also provides technical infrastructure and support to Primary Care & Mental Health Trusts. The Trust headquarter is situated at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH) in Winchester. The Trust has 23 sites across Hampshire, including Andover War Memorial Hospital (AWMH) and Eastleigh Health Centre (EHC), all of which are connected to the Trusts Wide Area Networks. One of the main obstacles is not only the number of sites covered by the trust, but that the Trust’s buildings consist of full range of building architecture ranging from old Victorian architecture, temporary wooden unit to modern buildings.

The Trust employs the latest fibre cabling for its infrastructure networks utilising multimode cross site fibre cables for all its edge switches and a combination of single-mode and multi-mode fibres for connecting its core switches together. The Trust currently has over 5000 Network outlets.
